Under the auspices of the ADC-Michigan Education and Resource Center’s Educational Programs, ADC offers internships to high school and college students who are interested in civil liberties and community service. ADC interns receive academic credit, or a stipend, and are granted the opportunity to participate in ADC activities, including, but not limited to, community organizing, media relations, research and writing, legal issues, political action, educational outreach, and routine office work alongside our regular professional staff. Further more the internship program offers a variety of positions for leadership development. It educates students on issues of civil rights, the Arab heritage, and current events in the Middle East. It empowers them to educate others. On average, the office hosts 3-4 interns a semester and works closely with these students to serve as a support system to help them meet their academic goals. In addition, ADC offers companies the opportunity to sponsor interns who are interested in civil rights. To become a sponsor or if you are a student interested in and internship please feel free to contact Director of Policy and Community Affairs Nadia Fadhl at nfadel@adc.org or at 313.581.1201.
