The American Citizens for Justice (ACJ)  to Co-Host the 14th Annual MLK Scholarship Awards Reception:

ADC Michigan and the American-Arab Center for Civil and Human Rights (ACCHR) is pleased to announce that the American Citizens for Justice (ACJ)   will co-host the 14th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Awards Reception in Dearborn on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 6:00pm. Through this annual program, ADC Michigan carries the message of Dr. King to the communities of Metro Detroit while promoting higher education. The 14th anniversary of the ADC Michigan MLK Scholarship Awards Reception is expected to be a remarkable occasion which embraces our rich diversity as we enter 2013 with further determination to advance the cause of civil rights in America.

ADC Michigan Announces Extension of Deadline for MLK Scholarship Essay Contest: Wednesday- January 30, 2013:

 

ADC Michigan is extending the deadline for its 13th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Essay Contest to Wednesday- January 30, 2013 at 4pm.  This essay contest is open to high school seniors of Arab and Chaldean descent.  ADC Michigan urges students to participate in this contest and join ADC as it celebrates the life and legacy of Dr. King. The MLK Scholarship Planning Committee has mailed out fliers to area high schools, announcing the criteria for writing an essay that should explain what the message of Martin Luther King means to each participating student. Students can obtain information from their school counselors, through the ADC website, ADC Michigan, or call the ADC Office at 313.581.1201.
