Today, March 8, 2013, ADC Michigan joins the rest of the world in marking International Women’s Day. This annual celebration recognizes women from around the world who have made significant contributions across the spectrum in business, the arts, government and more. ADC Michigan salutes the endless number of woman, who, on the local, national, and international levels, have made a difference in the lives of others through their hard work, strength, and perseverance. "As people all over the world celebrate this important day, ADC Michigan salutes the dedicated and exemplary women who have contributed to the advancement of society as a whole." stated Imad Hamad, ADC Sr. National Advisor and Regional Director. "Today we recognize these outstanding citizens, wherever they may be, and thank them for their determined leadership,” Hamad continued. ADC Expresses its Condolences for the Death of Hajj Hussein Makled: ADC extends its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the late Hajj Hussein Makled, who passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Hajj Hussein Makled served the community tirelessly for good number of years through the Islamic Center of America, ACCESS and other community organizations. He was devoted to public service, and relentless in his efforts to bring people together. ADC Michigan extends its sympathies to the Makled family during this difficult period. A memorial gathering (Al Fatiha) will be held today Friday, March 8, 2013 at 5:30PM at the Islamic Center of America. A weekly memorial service will be held Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. will be at the Islamic Center of America located at 19500 Ford Road in Dearborn. The Sadr Foundation’s 13th Annual Fundraising Dinner: On Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 4:30PM, The Sadr Foundation will be holding its 13th Annual Fundraising Dinner at the Islamic Center of America located at 19500 Ford Rd., in dearborn.
