On Thursday, April 9, 2009, at 6:00pm, the Islamic Center of Detroit (ICD), in coordination with the Congress of Arab American Organizations (CAAO) will hold a special reception honoring U.S. Congressman John Dingell, at the ICD (14350 Tireman Ave.) Congressman Dingell will be recognized for being the longest serving member in the U.S. Congress, and for his distinguished leadership and tireless dedication to his constituents.

“We’re delighted to host this reception for our Congressman, John Dingell,” said Sufian Nabhan, President of the ICD.

“This is a small token of appreciation to one of the most respected and distinguished members of the U.S. Congress,” said ADC Michigan Regional Director, Imad Hamad.

“This is our community’s tribute honoring Congressman Dingell, and we are honored to host it,” said Osama Siblani, on behalf of CAAO.
