An assistant professor from Adelphi University School of Social Work in New York, Dr. Wahiba Abu-Ras, is conducting the First National Study of Muslim physicians in America with the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding (ISPU). The study aims to understand the civic involvement and contributions of Muslim physicians in the United States.  Its goal is to use the results to foster greater understanding of the diverse experiences and contributions of the Muslim physicians in the United States.  Participation in the study is completely anonymous, and the survey can be taken online.
