ADC Michigan has been receiving numerous inquiries from its members and friends regarding the status of the construction of the American-Arab Center for Civil & Human Rights (ACCHR). We truly appreciate all the concern and support that we have received, particularly those, both young and old, who have asked, “What can I do to help?” What has been a dream to the ADC team and to the community at large had slowly began to take its form with the construction of the Center on Chase Road and Warren Avenue, in the heart of the largest concentration of Arab American in the Country. Although 2/3 of the Center is complete, the obstacle that has halted the construction is simply the state of our economic crisis that we are all facing.
While our society as a whole has been impacted by the economy, ADC is an organization that does not receive government aid, and solely relies on its members, friends, and supporters to continue our service to the community and society at large. ADC Michigan has been working diligently to overcome these financial challenges and we are certain that your support and contribution, regardless of the amount, will allow us to maintain and expand our chain of service to you. Together, we will succeed in opening the doors to welcome you to the landmark American-Arab Center for Civil & Human Rights.
