ADC Michigan Announces Winners of 11th Annual MLK Scholarship Contest
Under the auspices of the American-ArabCenter for Civil and Human Rights (ACCHR), ADC Michigan is pleased to announce the winners of its 11th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Contest, which was open to all Arab and Chaldean American high school seniors in Michigan.  This year’s honorees are:

ADC Announces Awardees for 11th Annual MLK Scholarship Dinner
 
Diversity in Education Award
ADC Michigan is pleased to announce Henry Ford Community College, under the leadership of the school’s president, Dr. Gail Mee, will be honored with the Diversity in Education Award at this year’s MLK Scholarship Awards Reception. As part of its commitment to diversity, HFCC recently added an Arab Cultural Studies Program to its curriculum, which focuses on the study of Arabic, Arab Americans, and Middle Eastern cultures.
 
Educator of the Year Award
ADC Michigan proudly announces that Mr. Tahsine Bazzi will be the recipient of this year’s Educator of the Year Award at its 11th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Awards Reception.  Mr. Bazzi’s career as an educator began over 35 years ago in Lebanon, and carried over to the United States. He has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan- Dearborn since 1998 (to present), and currently serves as a Student Services and Community Liaison at FordsonHigh School in Dearborn.
